Named by W.W. Forsyth in 1912

Also Lake

"The origin of the name is not known, but it may have been named for an army officer during the superintendency of Col. W. W. Forsyth. As a possibility, I suggest Lincoln Clarke Andrews, a cavalry officer and West Point classmate of Lt. Smedberg for whom Smedberg Lake was named. Andrews was promoted to captain in the 15th Cavalry on the same day in 1901 that Smedberg was promoted to captain of the 14th Cavalry. (Heitman, 166.) The peak was first named on the third edition of the Dardanelles 30' map, 1912. The lake's name appeared on the Tower Peak quad, 1956."
