Mt. Bielawski (3,231 ft.)

Named by Whitney Survey in 1861

"Named by J. D. Whitney in 1861 for the cheif draftsman of the surveyor general's office, Capt. Casimir Bielawski; he came to California in 1853, and was connected with the U.S. Land Office in San Francisco for forty-five years."
- Erwin Gudde, California Place Names

The peak is also called Mt. McPherson after the family that has owned the property on which the peak lies for more than 100 years. It is the highpoint of Santa Cruz County.
