Birch Mountain (13,602 ft.)

Named by BGN in 1938

"Namer unknown. The peak is identified in a Chester Versteeg photo in SCB 11, no. 4, 1923: opp. 422. A BGN decision in 1938, confirming the name, states: 'The original Paiute name for the mountain is said to be paokrung and mean "mountain of stone."'"
