Castle Peak (9,103 ft.)

Originally named Mount Stanford by the Whitney Survey, but later renamed. This peak is a few miles north of Donner Summit off Interstate 80. Another peak in Yosemite NP, had originally been named Castle Peak by George H. Goddard, but was renamed Tower Peak by Charles Hoffmann in 1870 of the Whitney Survey.
