Echo Ridge (11,168 ft.)

Named by Wheeler Survey in 1879

Also Peaks, Lake, Valley

The Ridge was likely named for the nearby Echo Peaks.

A favorite term for places where reverberation is heard. The best-known features bearing the name in California are Echo Lake [El Dorado Co.], Echo Rock [Los Angeles Co.], and Echo Peak [Yosemite NP]; the last was named by the Wheeler Survey in 1879."
