Finger Rock (9,606 ft.) |
"About ten mountains and rocks, including the high peaks in Kings Canyon NP and Yosemite
NP, are so named because of their shape. The name also occurs as a generic term:
Columbia Finger [Yosemite NP].However, Finger Creek
[San Mateo Co.] was named for Theodore Finger, who settled here in 1855 (Alan K. Brown)."
