Gray Peak (11,573 ft.)

Named by Wheeler Survey in 1878

"Gray is a term found in the names of more than twenty-five geographical features, mainly Rocks, Peaks, and Buttes, but also Creeks and Valleys. Most of them were doubtless named because of the color."
