Jacks Peak (9,856 ft.)

Named by Wheeler Survey in 1878

"The name appeared on the Wheeler map of 1881. Its uncertain origin is attributed to a Placerville miner and native of Missouri, Hardin Green Jacks, or to a man who settled in Jacks Valley, near Carson. (Scott, 466.)"
