New York Mountains HP (7,532 ft.)

"Of all names transferred from the East Coast in pioneer days, New York was the most common in California. It has been retained in about fifteen place names, including the mountain range separating Ivanpah and Lanfair Valleys in San Bernardino County. New York Point and Slough and York Island [Contra Costa Co.] are reminiscent of a proud New York of the Pacific."

- Erwin G. Gudde, California Place Names

And of course there is a New York Butte in the Inyo Mountains of Inyo County.
