Mt. Shakspere (12,174 ft.)

Named by Francis Farquhar in 1920

"In a USGS quad report, a letter from Charles Locker dated August 13, 1951, states that the mountain was named in 1920 by those who made the first ascent. Francis P. Farquhar was one of those, but in his notes he spelled the name 'Shakespeare.' The name first appeared on the 15-minute quad."
