Etymology

Temple Crag (12,976 ft.)

Named by BGN in 1929

"The beautiful crag was earlier named Mount Alice for Mrs. Alice Ober of Big Pine, who chaperoned a party of young people on a trip to this region. The BGN decided in favor of the present descriptive name."
