Ok, this was very lame. I'd just been up here a week earlier. But while in
Tahoe with Mike Larkin, we couldn't come up with anything climbable with a
foot of fresh powder. We bailed on Tahoe, too sore from the day before to
go skiing again. Since Mike hadn't been to Carpenter Hill, we took 20 minutes
to pull off at the East Bidwell exit off US50, visited the highpoint and got
gas. At the top of the hill we looked around enough to find a geocache among
the summit rocks, something I'd missed on my first visit.
